Julie directs her expertise in the areas of leadership, business development and overall company health and prosperity. A life-long Denver resident and graduate of Colorado State University, Julie began her career as an executive recruiter in 1995 with a global Fortune 500 staffing firm. After 5 years of successfully climbing the corporate ladder and establishing a solid reputation for her recruiting abilities and business acumen, Julie took a leap of faith. She and her J2T co-founders (J.C. Tim Scates and Jll Scates McLain) were frustrated with the traditional corporate grind and interminable commute. They had a vision for a better kind of Recruiting Firm – founded on a unique business model with 100% telecommuting for all its employees. In 2000, Scates opened the doors of J2T with the promise of telecommuting while hiring only senior-level professionals who work as peers and offer the highest level results and integrity for contingency search and contract/project recruiting to clients nationwide. 12 years later, that promise stands strong, and the firm’s unique model in the industry is a proven winner.
Anyone who meets Julie is immediately struck by her enthusiasm for life and genuine affability. Her dedication to the relationships she has forged and the ones yet to be established, along with her commitment to her colleagues to provide a working environment where integrity and respect are paramount, drive her professionally.
Julie is an alumni member of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) http://www.eonetwork.org/, and successfully completed the Entrepreneurial Masters Program at MIT. She is a founding member of the Montana chapter of Vistage International and was recently nominated as an Outstanding Woman in Business by the Denver Business Journal. Julie and her dogs love being outdoors; she is an avid fly fisherwoman, and jumps at the chance to travel anywhere warm. She is from a close-knit family and spends as much time with them as possible.
